Oh Sweet Tea we're plagued by this horrible Irene. Our city is ok good news...but We are requesting Good New Purrs for the East coast. My sis and her hubby live in Morehead City...they have all their hurricane window protections up and will hunker down at home with their kitty, parrot and fishes. They are always welcomed here but have decided to stay home. They understand hurricane's better than we do so we just have to accept their decision....but it is HARD. Hugs Madi and Mom
I am thankful it is Friday - my favorite day of the week, I took a nap, and we are going to go to Pigs and Peaches tonight for some barbeque and peaches. You have a good one too.
Good news? You want good news? Let me think.... the weather is beautiful (I hate to mention that when the East coast is bracing itself for Irene). My grands are all back in school and every single one of them say they like school this year. Score!
It's Friday ~ I'm sitting in my favorite place in the world (my house) ~ my family is safe and healthy ~ my tummy is full ~ the AC is blowing cold ~ and I just got nails done!!
My ankle has been swollen all week and it's finally better enough that I've been able to do a bit of a workout! And tomorrow I get my hair colored - now THAT'S a blessing!
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

Have a wonderful day.
Good news -- no damage during the earthquake.
Good news -- we are as prepared as possible for Irene.
Good news -- Earthquakes and Hurricanes give us LOTS of opportunities to talk about God to people!

My favorite blessing of the week: RAIN!!! So thankful for the much needed rain we finally got!

My grapes were plentiful this year and I have made grape jelly and juice all week. And, the weather is starting to get nicer - not so hot.
