I like being able to do things myself.
I like to begin a project and see it to completion.
I don't like it when my project is dependent upon someone else for part of it.
I need to make some changes to Mom's room while she is visiting my sister. Time is a BIG factor. But, before I can do my part, Mister needs to do some major "lifting & heaving". He works hard; he's tired at the end of the day. I know that. I understand that. When I have some major things I need done, I find that he responds better to a "Honey-Do" list, rather than to my nagging. Soooo, 5 days ago . . .
I posted the list in the kitchen.
I also put the same list on his bathroom mirror.

Happy anniversary! I've quit nagging. And that's why I'll be cleaning out everything under the kitchen sink today. The leaking faucet handle was apparently also leaking *under* the sink. ;) Oh, well. We are coming up on our 32nd anniversary and happier than we've ever been. I think I may adopt your list idea, though.

Congratulations on 44 years, that is awesome!! I perhaps a secondary note saying that time is of the essence and a special reward for him if he'll do it soon. A special treat to bake for him or a special dinner out, and a big kiss cuz you don't want to nag and tell him that. Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary...the list is a good idea. He knows exactly what you want done, written in plain English, and he can't say he didn't know you wanted that done...stick with what works and after 44yrs you guys have it together!

Congratulations on 44 years. After reading the comments, it's so comforting to know that my "abhors lists" husband isn't unique. And that other women have the consequences to deal with as well (leak under sink)...Sigh
