Truth SUCKS!

I love this saying,
even if it is a TOTAL LIE.

UNLESS

one is sick

OR

being held against her will

it seems she should be doing something.
I live by this.
My Mom lives by this
and her Mother before her.
I come from a line of strong,
busy women.

The truth is...
Monday was a cold, rainy day.
I spent most of the day doing nothing.

I was neither sick
nor
held against my will.

I turned my back on my healthy eating and exercise
plan.  I drank diet Coke
while picking through this bag
of yumminess, leaving only the pretzels behind.
Yes, the truth is sometimes ugly and unhealthy.

Guilt is a terrible thing!
I have done the math and find
I will only need to walk around
the park 62 times to make up
for the progress I have lost today.

If you should need me call my
cell.  I carry it while I walk
and I'll be walking till
Saturday, 10:04 am.

LOL> I'll meet you there... Yesterday Gary insisted we stop at that Chocolate factory place and I overdosed on chocolate covered pecans. All the broccoli, salad, and apples that I'd eaten the last few months were forgotten once that creamy milk chocolate began melting in my mouth... and now I have to reprogram my brain to think green again. Ugh. You too?

Ha! Sounds familiar to me! I got up to thunderstorms today and after days of strict eating, cooked bacon and eggs and had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich! UGH!

Thank you for the smiles and chuckles this morning.

Lol, if it helps, I should be joining you too ;o) I suppose I could count sewing as doing something but it's certainly not very energetic and I was sitting virtually all day! Sometimes a day like that isn't a bad thing though!xx

Oh Girl I am so LOL...
This write is priceless. You really outdid yourself.

I had a chocolate longjohn with my Diet Coke, so I'll grab my cell phone and meet you in the park in 10 minutes. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Have a gorgeous day sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Oh isn't it NOT surprising how many of your followers are needing the same walking shoes for pretty much the same reason. My Mom used to say only one who was perfect in this world was Jesus...and he ascended. Haven't needed concrete walking shoes yet....my dark temptress is usually clothed in chocolate.

Hugs and just do the U turn like your doing!

thanks for laugh and the permission to admit that after a VERY frustrating conversation yesterday, i made a decision to not make dinner and to eat chocolate ice cream and watch a movie instead.

yea, we ate pizza for dinner...again. but, we changed delivery service, the old pizza company was leaving a trail in the asphalt from their place to ours.

Ahh, everybody needs a down day once in a while. Just don't make it a habit. And if it's any consolation, I'll be walking till about October to make up for all my bad choices lately. Can we just say GS Cookies?

So that explains your early rising this morning? Had to hit the trail.

So funny! We were just laughing about that the other day - how much we needed to exercise just to cancel out one naughty thing we had done that day. Love to hear that your 82 year old mom has switched to chocolate. Maybe all those years of being good is why she gets to do this. It is shocking to see how small the Parks sisters are when you read how much chocolate they eat though!

Let's see...so "just breathing" is the same as "inhaling"? Like, inhaling a bag of yummies? Just kidding! I think it's totally OK to just do nothing and enjoy what I call a "mental health" day. We all need to chill every so often and walking is good too. I bet this one day did not undo all the good you've done.

Oh my....I know I have something profound to say, but the urge to go out and buy a bag of Chocolate Turtle Chex Mix has totally blocked my thought process.

Oh, everyone needs to take a mental health day once in awhile - even if it doesn't coordinate with physical health! A little junk food and Diet Coke never killed anyone. Our Valentine's Day dinner was a pending heart attack from start to finish, but I think we'll live through it. Just get back on track, sister!

Sure hope the weather brightens up for you. Walking in the rain is just no fun;-)

Please do me the favor of not calculating how much exercise I need :)

I call those days mental health days too. My worst ones are migraine days when all I want are carbs for comfort. I could eat a whole bag of chips then.. so I don't buy them anymore. Then I really feel sorry for myself.

Don't guilt yourself anymore. Today is a new day.

Oh, forget eating sensibly!! ... pass those chocolates & chips ... I'll get to the exercise someday but right now let's just enjoy our chit-chat & munch away.

My precious friend Maggie pointed me in your direction. I hope you will pop by for a visit & join me, as I am joining you now.

Have a lovely eve ~

I am your newest follower I found you through grandma yellow hair.
I have gone back through some of your posts. First I do believe we all need a day of nothing and hey you had diet coke doesn't that cancel some of the calories?
Yeah for you you are a cancer survivor! It is all so scary my husband had a bone marrow transplant in Nov he is doing well but the gut wrenching horror of it all I never want to experience again.
I am looking forward to following along.
