My son broke his hand playing soccer and it was thought that he may need surgery but the surgeon decided it was healing well enough and surgery was unnecessary. We are all relieved and wish him well with his healing. Best news I heard all week. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4
Good news Friday is such fun and we thank you for reminding us to think back each week.
Good news: No rain (we've had about 6" in the last two weeks) predicted for the next 7 days so all of our exterior renovations will go smoothly w/o a hitch. Happy weekend, Madi and Mom
We had a safe trip to Tulsa and home again. Had a wonderful lunch date w/Mom, my sister, and oldest daughter. Had a short, but good visit with our oldest son, and our granddolls. Spent an entire afternoon with my Mom!! Time spent with the people I love so much is definitely GOOD NEWS!!
my prayer sisters and I broke out of our norm and went to the movies last night to see THE HELP...we enjoyed seeing several familiar faces playing VERY different parts, and the hairstyles were a 'flash' of the past! lots of laffs and some tears...then we enjoyed catching up with one another over a late dinner @ IHOP with decaf, of course!
After a rainy week for you all in Louisiana, a few nice days are so welcomed I'm sure! Daughter in New Iberia said it was nice today and yesterday! I can't wait to drive south to see them. Hope you have a great weekend, and thanks so much for visiting my blog and commenting too. As you, sure do love to hear from everyone! jo
Today my mom turns 87 and I am so glad that we still have her. And even though I can't see her often we are 12 hours away, it is still nice to know that I can call her.
My hubby hasn't been traveling lately and it has been nice to have him around.
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

We had rain and lots of it. Not entirely enough to end the draught...but enough to enjoy sleeping by, reading a book, and staying inside. Loved it!

Fall in the south means all of my plants are burned to a crisp. This morning I cut them back, pulled them out and bagged them up. Time for new ones.

Great idea for a post! My son got a job this week at the college he graduated from. He was so thrilled!
Blessings,
Marcia
Good news: God is real and will comfort those who mourn.
My husband got a call that he gets a pension from a place he didn't suspect he'd get one from starting in November! Yeah. sandie
