Loved having our son here for a visit. Thankful Princess had a wonderful, safe time at Camp. We also had a bit of rain here last week. It's all GOOD!!

I've been painting more and reading less. Went to Michael's this morning for another canvas and then found some great candles at TJ Maxx. I'm in the zone.

I went to the dermatologist yesterday and was checked out for some spots that concerned me. Since skin cancer is in my family, the doc checked from head to toe and I'm in the clear!!! God is good!!!

Someone made a really ignorant, stupid comment about homeschoolers to me this week and I didn't slap them.

Does that qualify as "Good News"?

LOL

Have a wonderful weekend. Love your blog!

Hi it is I, Madi, back with my good news.
I had a good vet visit today.
My especially good news is there isn't as much of me as there was last year and my vet was happy. Like I say happy vet happy pet!!
AND FYI it was hot as H E double hockey sticks outside...thank goodness I don't live outside. Mom put ice cubes in the bird bath too.

Just to share with you folks, i have a new post today on Amish Stories from the Terre Hill days even that was just held in Lancaster Pennsylvania. It was a very hot day but i was able to get i think a few good images from this event. The town is populated with a mix of Amish and old order Mennonites which only adds to its charm. They even have what has become famous in Terre Hill their "outhouse race". The town sits on a hill so it overlooks Lancaster farmland in almost all directions. This is one of my favorite towns to visit because its free from commercialism, so if you are looking for a really all American kind of town with the added bonus of seeing its Amish and Mennonite residents at work and play, then this town is for you. Thanks folks. Richard from Amish Stories.

I am happy to be home recovering from surgery! I had an accident and cut my achilles tendon and needed surgery this week. I am SO thankful that it was not worse and that I am healing!! :)

My good news is it's Friday!!! Two whole days that I don't have to get out of bed before the sun is up and I can even stay in my PJs all day long if I want!

I loved my family reunion - the fact that we had a safe trip there and back - and stopped to see my son and grandson in Ohio. Thanks.
