Sweet Beginnings

Lil' Mama giving Haylee Kate a bath in the NICU
(getting ready to come home)

All dressed in pink gingham and "good to go".

Doncha' just LOVE ruffled baby socks?!

Moi' (YaYa) - and sweet, new, Granddoll.

Mister (YoYo) and sweet, new Granddoll.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Lil' Mama has caught a stomach bug (including fever).  We are caring for Granddoll while Lil' Mama stays quarantined in her bedroom.  We are praying that Granddoll will not catch this nasty bug - so far so good. . . At one week check up Granddoll had gained 4 oz, but at 2 week check up she remained the same weight.  Doctor is somewhat "concerned", but all baby's blood work is good.  We take her back for a weight check on Monday and are hoping to see some weight gain.  We'll sure be glad when cold & flu season passes and Granddoll has packed on a few pounds.
Soon, very soon.

She is truly a doll! Hope good health returns to your home and she gets a good report at the next visit.

Oh- I hope she doesn't get sick. One of my grandsons had a hard time gaining weight. He ate but just did not gain weight. He was only at 10 percentile for the first year of his life but perfectly healthy otherwise. She will be just fine-she might just take a little longer for her weight to kick in. xo Diana

Praying that Lil Mama recovers quickly. It's gotta be tough for her being quarantined from that sweet baby and being so sick. She's been through a lot.
All of these pics are so sweet! What a doll! Love the gingham and the ruffled socks. What fun dressing a little girl. Hoping she puts on some weight as needed.

i have missed so mcu, congratulations, oh my gosh what a sweet heart, best wishes and i will keep you all in my prayers, that your daughter gets well soon and the baby does not get that nasty bug, but they rarely do , they seem to be protected by things like that don't they. They say its in the mothers milk the protection, what an exciting time, i even read down all the past posts and I'm so glad the nasty other gramma backed off, wow

A belated CONGRATULATIONS to all of you! What a sweet dolly.
Prayers that you will stay well and lil mama gets well quickly (the flu or maybe just leftover from her rough time at the hospital?)
At any rate you have so much on your plate-so exciting but world changing for you...
Many blessing to you and your family!
