Train Wreck

The past couple of days have brought a flurry of ne'er do wells making the TV talkshow circuit.  Michael Vick, Mike Tyson and Elton John each telling about their train-wreck of a life  a life of bad choices and declaring they have rounded the corner for the better.  Good for them.
BUT, don't tell me, SHOW me!

'Nuff said.

Oh, and have you read about the guy who confessed his sins via his self-written obituary.  Sometimes it's just too little too late, IMO.  You can read about it   "HERE".

Maybe I just woke up in a bad mood, but these things just don't sit right with me.

Now, I'm off for a day of shopping with a GF.
No more complaining.  I promise!

Well, I'm glad nobody is asking me to go on a talk show to talk about the things I have done wrong. Thankfully they wouldn't be quite the train wreck as the guys you mentioned....but even so....
One thing for sure, you can't go wrong with a day of shopping. Have fun.

It frustrates me to my very core to turn on a "news channel" and see celebrities complaining or their latest "goof up" being broadcasted. Since when did that become news?

I'm with you ... show us what good you are doing and stop talking about it.

Have fun shopping. Retail therapy can do wonders for the soul.

I KNOW! and really...do I NEED to know every intimate detail of tom and katie's divorce? And of course there are the Lady Gaga pictures that the media claims she went too far with...and then they show them. ARGH!

I won't be reading these "screw up" books either. When a public person writes a book, it's already been public. We know they screwed up. I have to admit to reading a lot of bios and auto-bios though.

I won't be reading Rielle Hunter's book either. We already know more than we needed to. It looks like no one else is reading it either.

I'm with all of you. My feelings about their "train wreck" stories is summed up by Rhett Butler's last line to Scarlett. "Frankly, my dear ..."

I did see Mike Tyson on the view with his bird...a pigeon...and I just had to flip the station. I read about the dude who did his own obit..I did sort of laugh at that. I wanted to do a video to be played at my funeral. I actually wanted to do it when I was young and cute..just to see if I had changed. I was planning on living to be 100 back then...now I'm not really that interested since I know how bad I'm really going to look at 100. (age 59 isn't looking too hot) Let's face it, even if people say "Oh, she looks so good for her age"..you know the truth. But I digress...Hope your shopping was fun!
