I have a group of friends from HS which was a LONG time ago...and the five of us still get together a couple times a year no matter what and catch up...what would I do without them, well...it sure wouldn't be as much fun as WITH them! :)
From the pictures you've shared here it seems like you know exactly what to do with girlfriends! Let your hair down, be silly, have fun, enjoy the time that goes so quickly in this life.
I agree!! My BFF lives 45 min to 1 hr away. We get to see each other maybe a handful times a year but the rest of the time, we seriously text daily. While we're at work, shopping or at home. I love my best friend and I'm so glad she's in my live and has been since we were in 9th grade...which means about 24 yrs ago.
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

I love my girlfriends! Even if I don't see them for a while, I know they are there!!!!
And I add an Amen to your tribute to girlfriends.
Girlfriends, true girlfriends, are one of the best things in life. xo Diana
Aww... a lot of girls having good times!! LOVE IT!
Well,it looks like you've got more than your share. :) Good for you.
We moved far away from home and, so far, I have not found one girlfriend. I would stand on the street corner or use Craig's list if it would help.

Once a month I have lunch with 4gals I used to work with at NC state university. We laugh so hard!!
Do have a few GFs which agree good to have them though don't have access to them for get-togethers except by phone, e-mail & rare short visits.
