RATS!!
I left my car parked at the shopping center
while I went shopping with a friend.
(she drove)
WHEN I RETURNED
My windshield had cracked in the heat of the day.
The car thermometer read *109 (again).
Do you see the crack?

OMG...that looks larger than Safelite can fix. Just had them out yesterday to fix the large stone that was thrown at my windshield by a semi last week. Not fun after probably a fun day of shopping. Smile anyhow...

Did you have a chip in the windshield? I can't imagine why it would have cracked otherwise. The heat is tremendous but it still shouldn't have done that. Sorry it happened.
Not a fun thing to come back to...but look at the bright side, at least you didn't find those rats in your car :)
Oh that stinks...my sister had her window completely explode out in Hattiesburg, MS. Hot time summer in the city!
And yes, I take a cracked windshield over rats in the car ANY day!

Absolutely horrendous weather everywhere. Too hot, too dry, too much rain causing floods and horrible t-storms starting wildfires.
Internet issues here probably the fault of the rains we've had.
I'm online until we get kicked off which could be minutes or hours.

Rats is right! Our temperatures have been mild lately, but they are promising that summer is not quite done with us yet.
Hopefully the fun shopping outweighed the bummer crack!

I have a very hard time believing people who say rats are great pets. So I'm with Mary -- I'd take windshield crack to rats anytime.
Sorry it happened though! Reminds us of why they say don't leave your pets in the car!
I can't even stand it when it's in the 90's here, I'd die there! It's been much cooler here (it was in the 40's last night) and I'm ready for fall....hope you get that window fixed!
RATS !
Today DH tripped over and tipped over a gallon of oil enamel white paint. About 1/4 of the tin of paint coated in a random and messy way the just painted gray deck and dripped through the deck boards onto the winter tires below. While we were trying to clean off the paint on the tires I pulled one of the waterlogged plastic tire bags (liberally mixed with the oil paint) off the tire and then dumped the oily white paint/water out of the bag all over my shoes and the cement steps. Not on purpose.

Holy cow! That's awful! 109 is crazy temps. But it could have been worse right?? :-) We have to find the positives in each day. :-)
I will look back and see what link I made the chicken recipe with and I'll let you know. If not I'll re list it for you. It really is good and the chicken is so moist!

RATS for sure...I can't believe that happened. Dang heat.
That's terrible! I hate when that happens. I once had the window in a back hatch break into little crumbles when I shut it on a really hot day. So I know it happens - sorry it happened to you.
