I'm starting horseback riding lessons next month. I've always wanted to ride since I was a little girl, but was always told I couldn't. (Don't worry, I'll deal with that in therapy. LOL) But with the encouragement of my husband and a wonderful instructor, I'm gonna just do it ... 40 years later.
I'm excited!

We've had a respite from the triple digit weather all this week. If we broke into the 90's it was very briefly. Really lovely weather this week...Yay!

I am just winding up the busiest week for cat-sitting this summer. I'm pooped but it's a good pooped. Enjoy your weekend.

Thought of a new art project. Now in the gathering materials phase. Hope I can find what I want, but I'm excited about it.

Not as exciting as the others - but I took a long long nap today. I had been getting up at 6am this week helping my grandson to school and I guess I just wasn't used to it - felt good!

What good news do you have?

We celebrated my grandfather's 90th birthday on Tuesday!! I just pray to the good Lord that I can live to be that age and get around as good as he does! It's truly is amazing! He is so very active that he actually gets around better than my dad, who is only 60 yrs old (eh..still trying to let his age sink in).

What's your good news??

My good news is something you are already aware of - ANOTHER birthday!! But, what you may not be aware of is the fact that I am a 30 year cancer survivor!! Talk about GOOD NEWS!! I never thought I'd be blessed with this many birthdays!! Woo! Hoo!

Let's see...I got through another week intact. Overall it was an average week which is good.

Next week should be excellent as I go to Tennessee to visit my family.

Just today I thought what a great week this has been. I visited my 87 year old friend at the assisted living center and babysat for a former neighbor who is moving back to town while she enrolled her older children in their new schools.

Also, took a few late afternoon naps and had dinner with special friends.

Great idea for a post! Have a wonderful weekend.

I've had a great week. My first book has been downloaded a thousand times, I had lunch with my father-in-law and each of my children called me just to say, "I love you," a perfect week.

By the way, what a great idea for a post!

I just booked my flights this week to go see my grandkids that live in Denver at the end of September. By the time I get there, they will have a brand new one to add to the other two!

I was super stressed the last few days because some unexpected circumstances caused me to end up having to fill a rather LARGE cupcake order for a shower because my daughter (who just opened her own bakery business) ended up being out of town. I'm happy to say that the order was filled, delivered and everyone was happy! :)
No matter, though. YOUR good news trumps ALL the rest. :) That's awesome!

Say What -- good news is that with horses, it is NEVER too late. Even the olympians are well into their late 30's before they start making it into that level (as opposed to gymnasts whose careers are over at 18). Go for it!

Sweet tea -- 30 year survivor! WOO HOO! What an inspiration and lift! My mom is a 26 year survivor of BC this year and I am SO grateful for every year!

My good news -- God is faithful. ALL the time.

A lot of good news posted here...mine seems so shallow in comparison. I am super happy for your surviving cancer for the last 30 years! Wow! Horseback riding lessons, home remodeling, book sales, a 90th birthday celebration...what good news everyone had this week! Oh, my good news...I finally got my hair cut. It has been needing a good trim and shape up. Feels so good now. Yeah, I'm happy.
