Give this a quick listen
and it will take your mind
to such a sweet place.
(You can thank me later. *smile)
I'm thinking of my sweet Daddy.
I'm also thinking about my
husband's best friend...
And my Grandma...
And my baby Sister...
Some high school classmates...
Wouldn't it be great -
"If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away"?
(I told you this was a sweet thought!)
Who are you thinking about?

My Daddy was a Fourth of July baby. :) He always told me that all the fireworks were for him! LOL! He's been gone 13 years and I miss him more every single day.
I'm also thinking of my Mama Jones and lots of friends and family we've lost throughout the years.
Nice post, Sweetie! :)
It would be wonderful to be able to visit them one more time. I miss mine too!
What a thought provoking post...as we were taking our walk today...my hubby remined me that his Mom would have been 103 today. His parents were in their 30's and 40's when they married....
Hugs Madi's Mom
PS Mom saw an eyebrow threading shop at the mall it cracked her up.
Hugs Madi
My daughter Shana, my maternal grandmother, my Aunt Sue, my cousin Dot, my maternal grandfather who died when I was 5....
Oh yes, I do love that song...I actually did a posting for my Mom called One More Day. I miss my parents every day. They've been gone now for almost six years and sometimes I still get a sudden urge to pick up the phone and call them. Sadly, no. I do wish Heaven was a place to visit. For now, in my dreams...
Thank you for such a dear, touching post.
Hugs~
Now I want to hear a good, positive report about you! P.S., tried to contact you via an email not related to a blog post, but couldn't find a way to do so. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. And thanks for the sweet sound that did indeed take me to a happy place, as does your new friendship.
My best friend, Suza, who died about eight years ago. My granddaughter said she wished heaven was like a hospital so people could go there and get fixed up and then come back.
Hi, and love reading your blog. I just sat and went back a ways! Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm also a new follower of yours. Nice to meet other new friends from Louisiana. I can't believe you all can live there in all that HEAT and HUMIDITY!!! lol. Our daughter seems to do okey there! Have a great week, jo in MN
My parents have been gone since the 70's, I was quite young- in my early 20's, so that was so o o o long ago. Would love for them to see my grown family and that we're all doing well. Even tho parents and in-laws gone, they're thought of very often, and talked to in my thoughts.
I'm always thinking about dear family who are waiting for us on the other side....my Dad who died in 1976, my nephew who died when he was 18, my hubby's parents...thanks for the song and many times I think I feel their sweet spirits with me and think that heaven isn't that far away.
This definitely tugs my heart strings for many people but most recently my brother in law we lost on April 1st at the age of 39.
Blessings,
Jill
I love this song...makes me think of my dad and how much I wish he could know my girls as adults.
AS you know my last twenty months have been tough. I am thinking about my dad and Randy, and Aunt Shirley, and Claude, and my mom (her 82nd birthday would have been July 9th.)
