Chicago Smiles

The Chicago Vacation is now history.
Good history.
I'll post details later,
but for now here are some moments
that afforded us some big
"Chicago Smiles"!

Princess & Husband
"monkeying around"
at the Chicago Field Museum.

This guy was serindipitously
entertaining the masses
at the Navy Pier
by dancing with his glass of beer
balanced on his head.

Never one to shy away from attention
my husband fashioned a hat
to shield himself from the sun
while we were on a sight-seeing
boat tour. . .

Princess was mortified
by her Dad's
awful hat.
Yes.  That made me smile.

Chicago Hotdog.
BIG smile!

The ice cold water
of Lake Michigan.

Highlights and details
of the Train trip and Chicago
on the next post.

Only been to O'Hare and Midway airports. Never outside of them..lol! I do however have a similiar pic like your last one in the water. Except mine, I was dipping in the warm bath water of Key West! Oh how I miss it :o(

Yah for vacations and for you guys getting back home safely!!!

Chicago is such a great town. The Field Museum is amazing, and how about that shopping on the Gold Coast:) But can you believe how cold that water is? Looks like you had a great trip, can't wait to see more. Kathy

I saw you on Jill's blog and wanted to stop by and say hello to another sweet tea lover! I see you're in La...I have family there and I grew up in southern Arkansas. I am now in Florida. I see you shivering in Lake Michigan. Well, before we moved to Florida, we lived in Michigan and that is some COLD water!

Funny thing. Some of my La family just went to Chicago!

Love the pic of you and your girlfriends kicking up you heels!

Oh, the pic of your daughter next to Dad in his wonderful hat is priceless.

Nice meeting you...Shell

I'm going to Chicago in August for a few days...tagging along on one of my hubs business trips. His brother and sister in law live in St. Charles so we'll see them and also spend a couple of days in the city. I've never been (except to O'Hare) so I'm looking forward to it...what are your must sees?

Hi Sweet tea,

Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for coming to my blog...I just wanted to create a "little space" for people to get inspiration.

My goodness, I didn't realize that you are from Louisiana...I am too!
