What a wonderful day it was spending time with our family in Tulsa. Easter used to mean church, new patent leather shoes, and a ham dinner with the family on Sunday. But, since moving out of state it means we travel to there on Friday, celebrate on Saturday and drive home on Sunday. Translated, now it means Pizza out, fun at the park, and seeing a movie with our 3 Granddolls.
The celebration has changed;
but the reason we celebrate has stayed the same.

I know exactly what you mean.
Patterns change, but you're right- the reason for the season and the love of family doesn't.

Oh, and I'm proud to say I spent this Easter morning being present when my 7 yr old asked our pastor about wanting to except Jesus Christ into her life. What a Wonderful Easter this has been!!!! Such a proud mama here! :O)
Happy Easter!!
Hey, nice post.
Easter is the demonstration of God that life is essentially spiritual and timeless.
Hope you had a Egg-ceptional, Eggs-traordinary Easter !!!

Looks like a perfectly wonderful Easter to me! :) Glad you got to visit with your beautiful family and enjoy some time with them. Had a very nice weekend here, too. :)
EAster Saturday for us always was getting together for the April birthday celebration....big meal and everyone was on their own on Sunday....this year three of the aprils are no longer with us...so we had a joint family dinner on Sunday after church at Amanda's lake house. It felt weird...but it was good. The sad cloud seemed to dispel.
I totatlly agree. Being with family is what is important.. not really what you do. Glad you were able to enjoy yours.
Sounds pretty perfect to me. So glad you got to enjoy your family.
Great photos also!
