A Star is Born!!!

*Ringggggg *Ringgggg

"Hollywood calling?

"You want ME
to be a STAR?"

Yes Sirrreeee.
That's the way it happened!

Well, maybe they didn't want me
to be a STAR,
but they did ask me to be an
"extra" in the movie
"Straw Dogs".
(This is a remake of the 1971
movie starring Dustin Hoffman.)
I'll be part of a crowd of people
watching a football game.

My scene will shoot on Aug. 19.
I can't wait!
I think I'll love watching the
process, and I even get paid
a bit, I think.

Now, back to my real life,
but with a smile on my face.

How fun! My husband & I were actually extras in the movie "Angel's in the Outfield" with Danny Glover. (I got his autograph too!!) It was fun and we were part of the crowd watching the baseball game scene at the Oakland Coliseum. Only thing is, the stands weren't filled like they make it look. They use cardboard extras. Now when I watch the movie, I can see the cardboard people in the stands....LOL!

My uncle is an extra and has small rolls in tons of movies. He does it as a hobby and gets paid to do it, nothing better when you love it.

Just do us all a favor and don't show up the leads, we don't want to hear you got roasted alive because of your mad talent and natural abilities.

How exciting for you. I look forward to hearing all about it when the day comes.

Very exciting news! We've lived several places and when they would do a call for extra's I was tempted but never went. Regrets!

I am so excited for you. My husband keeps trying to get me to go be an extra but that daily drive to Hollywood would be much too much for me.

Fabulous!
This should be on a list of 'things to do before you die', I think.
And no, I haven't ever done it. Sounds like a great experience though.
