I.love.me.some.Dolly.
"I look just like the girls next door...
if you happen to live next door
to an amusement park."
"I was the first woman to burn my bra -
it took the fire department four days to put it out."
"If you don't like the road you're walking,
start paving another one."
"If you talk bad about country music,
it's like saying bad things about my momma.
Them's fightin' words."
"Storms make trees take deeper roots."
" The way I see it, if you want the rainbow,
you gotta put up with the rain."
" We cannot direct the wind,
but we can adjust the sails."
to the same man for over 40+ years!
Let's stuff our bras
and channel our inner Dolly today!!
(sure wish I owned a wig!)
there is more to Dolly,
than what meets the eye.
What would we find surprising
about Y-O-U?

Those were the days my friend. . .
This was my school supply list for a lot of years
when I was a kid.
I loved buying school supplies.
I loved the smell, the touch,
the labeling. I loved the entire process.
The School Supply list stated a 24 count pk of Crayons,
but if Mom could find them on sale I got
the 64 pack WITH SHARPENER.
(no substitutions allowed)
Then I grew up
and had children of my own
and I had to pay for the
School Supplies.
I still loved it.
My baby will be a sophomore when
school begins.
I can't wait to buy school supplies
next week.
I still get the "School Supply Rush"!!
Yes, I am a bit
I can't help myself.
Are there others among us
who enjoy this yearly ritual?

Our new Baby!
Boudreaux Orion
3 mo old.
(Schnauzer/terrier mix)
We got Boudreaux through the
"Adopt-a-Pet" rescue group.
Did all the paper work online
then drove to TX today
to get him.
If you're wanting a pet
please consider adopting
a rescue pet who needs a home.

I want another baby.
I admit it.
I've the need to cuddle, coo,
and be a Mom once again.
Don't care if it's a boy or a girl -
either would be fine with me.
Guess I need to tell my hubby,
but thought I'd share my heart
with you first.
Course I'm talking about the
4-legged, furry type of baby.
The kind that goes "bow wow"
rather than "wah wah".
Kramer passed in April and I think
I'm ready to love again.
Guess I need to pray about this
as I will need some "God help"
to make this happen.
I don't want to buy a dog,
I want to rescue a dog.
(that's important to me)
It must be a puppy -
one that doesn't shed
and won't grow to be
more than 25 pounds.
No pedigree needed,
as I love mutts.
I'm checking the local
"Adopt-A-Pet" rescue site often.
Or, if someone locally had some
"accidental" puppies that they

Hello Mudda. Hello Fahda.
This her unloading her "stuff" to go to Camp.
You do know it's soooo "uncool" to be
caught posing for a picture for your Mom.
sometimes twice a summer.
Church Camp.
There was no air-conditioning, no pool,
and we girls had to wear dresses 24/7.
Still, we loved it.
We didn't know any better.
Great memories!
(gotta read carefully to "get" it)
to put the devil in,
I'd take him out
and SMASH HIS FACE
(pounding palm of one hand w/fist)
then do it all again!"
a bit since I was a camper. !!!
were a kid?
Good or bad experience?
