Our newest love!

Gentry Allyn
2lb 13 oz
15" long

This is our little Miracle Baby.
What a story Lil' Mama has to share about this sweet baby girl.  There were so many obstacles in this baby's path.  God's hand has delivered her into this world at 24wks 6 days.  (She was actually due Dec. 1).  She is doing extremely well and expected to leave the NICU in late October.  Lil' Mama is recovering from a c-section delivery and doing well.  She is now receiving the medicine she has delayed taking in order to safely deliver her sweet baby.

"G" is for Gentry.
HK has been with me for the last week and will stay here until her little sister is released from the hospital.  This allows her Mom & Dad to spend lots of time at the NICU, as they have no family there to help with childcare.

No pictures, but I must tell you that our youngest son (who had the stroke), is home now after spending 13 days in ICU.  Mister is with him in Atlanta.  Son is recovering very well but still has a way to go.  He's expected to fully recover.  Strokes are awful and they're especially awful when you're only 38 years old.  He is struggling to regain his strength and stamina but does a bit better each day.  Thank you to those who hold him up in prayer!!

Three Days Ago

Three days ago. . .

I talked with our youngest son (who lives in Atlanta).  It was noon and he called as he was leaving work.  He was caught up with his work and was gonna cut the day short.  He mentioned he had a headache that he couldn't seem to shake.  We chatted about all sorts of things as he drove home.

Early, that very evening, I got another call.
That same son (38 yr old) was in the hospital and had had a stroke.  We made arrangements for Mister to fly into Atlanta ASAP.  I remain here with my Mom.  Our son continues in ICU.  We are so very thankful he was able to drive himself to the hospital and that he is being cared for in a good hospital with a good neurology team.  We are shaken, but we know we have a source of strength directly from God the Father that will keep us as we deal with what lies ahead.  I believe that healing will come, so this is not meant to be a "downer" post, but instead a call for those who pray to join with us in prayer and become a part of our son's healing.  I know God will hear your prayers and bless you as you become a part of our prayer team.  Thanks so much.

ALSO, I think my last post was misleading.
Lil' Mama hasn't had the baby yet.
She is pregnant with a baby girl who isn't due to arrive until Dec. 1.  We have lots to pray for and are confident "God has got this" all in his hands.

August 1st - my favorite month of the year.
Thankful for sunny, blue skies that evoke happy thoughts.  Hope your world is spinning as you want and that your A/C keeps on crankin'.
