Road-Aversion Disorder

We're making a quick (6 hr) trip to Tulsa for a party tonight (Mister's high school friends) and then back home tomorrow morning.  Did I mention it was a 6 hour drive one-way?  UGH!

You know I hate road trips.
 I think I have "Road-Aversion Disorder".

On the way home you must stop at any little place that catches your eye.

I love road trips! But 6 hours one way for an evening would be too much for me too!

Bless your heart 12 hours in a car in just a 24 hour span. Purrs coming your way. Safe travels

Too bad you didn't have a jar of Cookie Butter and a spoon with you. That would keep you busy and happy. Have a good time!

I'm with you- that's an awful long time in the car. The things we do for love!

The last time we did a road trip similar to this I took my Mac and cleaned up my computer while on the road. The time flew... and my computer was happier in the end. What I have noticed though in the past few years is that these longer day trips are hard on these old bones. lol. 6 hours, I think I would have got a hotel.. I hope you had fun!

I love road trips, a good book, some good music, what more could you ask for. Hope you had fun and that it was worth it.

You could just sing and play name that tune all the way in. Have fun and safe travels.

oh yes...a girl after my own heart...
and everywhere we go in the middle of the United States seems to require that kind of travel to get ANYWHERE! I FEEL your pain..
Hope it went FAST! (and that you managed to have a bit of fun along the way)

We make those trips a lot. I have family in Nashville - 5 hours, a best friend in knoxville - 5 hours, and a niece in PC - 5 hours away. I love the trips.....no road aversion disorder for me! :-)

My husband and I do the books on CD. We also get really easy crossword puzzles and the passenger gets to read the clues, while we both guess the words.

I am not that great of a passenger. I am running out of reasons to hermitize myself. If you have any good excuses for staying at home...clue me in.

I love road trips even when they throw curve balls your way. I have always liked just getting in the car and driving to where ever the car will take me. I love to see the country side even thought I have passed several times before. I now only wish for a vehicle I can leave town in and not worry if I will end up on the side of the road. Lol

Oh in Tulsa huh. I know I hate trips that are over 2 hours drive. I'm kind of a homebody or townbody!

Six hours is not a quick trip, for most of us anyway! We are planning a trip over to Tulsa this summer too, just to shop mostly. I sure don't want to go until this heat breaks... we are cooling down a little this week!
