Kids and grandkids are coming over for hot dogs and brisket, playing on slip 'n slide and watching fireworks from our deck on Saturday. It's gonna be a HOT one!!! On the 4th, we are going out on party boat with friends to watch fireworks over the lake. Stay cool!
At the lake...can't wait:) I've missed you by the way...don't know if you ever ventured over to my "newer" blog or not since I made the old one private.
It's my birthday! Yes, I'm a firecracker baby. :0) Friends are coming over to help me celebrate with a BBQ. Looking forward to it ... and not remembering how old I am. LOL
Hopefully, I'll be going to estate sales...and our city has a really BIG fireworks display that we will watch. And hopefully, Tim the Toolman will come on Monday to install bathroom faucets. (Fingers crossed!) Other than hitting the pool in this heat, I plan to spend time listing Christmas stuff in Passionate Flea on Etsy. What will you be doing?
Ninny, I'll actually be in your fair city visiting with my family. Will be enjoying a cook-out and fireworks my 3 of our grown kids and our GRANDDOLLS. Par-teeeeee!!
Well, for the first time EVER, we are breaking with the tradition of spending a long, hot day at my mother-in-law's house and are going to stay at home and celebrate with my mother! I am actually looking forward to it!
Love the picture, ST!! :-) So cute!! The hubs and I are spending a quiet 4th which has been so nice. We have already spent time and celebrated with our son and his family, our church family and the rest of our families! It's been good to just relax and take the day as it comes. :-) Little Jaylon will be back in the morning, as his parents both return to work and life resumes. Happy 4th to you and your family, ST! ((HUGS))
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

I don't have plans, but sometimes a time with no plans turns into a very busy time. I'm sure I'll watch fireworks with my kids and grandkids.

My husband took the week off so we plan to be tourists in our own area of the state. Go to some art galleries, check out of seafood places, etc.

Fireworks on the beach. :) That'll be a first for me!
There's a neighborhood annual party that we usually go to. I'm sort of in the mood to go to the nearby small town celebration though.
The men in my household plan to spend the day in the air. They fly gliders and the weather is supposed to be excellent for it.
So the girl and I will probably try to find something fun!
Cookouts Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Niece and Nephew here with their sweet babies. It will be fun.
