To be or not to be?
Pepsi or Coke?
Satellite or Cable?
I've been wrestling with a decision.
It's a tough economy.
We all need to save money. It's a fact.
So, if one can afford a nice vacation
do you "go for it", or is it wiser to sock
the cash away, just in case?
My hubby & I will celebrate a major
wedding anniversary this year, and
our birthdays will mark the beginning
of a new decade for each of us -
"NO! I'm not telling you how old I am,"
but if you think "Meryl Streep" you'll be close.
*smile
We've been tossing around ideas;
Hawaii, or perhaps Ireland...
Also, I HATE to fly, so this is a
doubly BIG decision. The longest
I've ever been air-borne is 4 hrs.,
and I take Valium to do that.
I'm finding this a tough call.
Have you been to Hawaii or
Ireland? Do tell.
Opinions?
Suggestions?
I need some input. Pleez!
"I'll take Diet Pepsi."
That's one decision I can make.

Good Girl..on the Pepsi bit. Except I drink mine full strength. No diet for me.
Vacation or No Vacation? That can be a tough decision. I think it all depends on how it will affect you finacially. If you can do it without draining your stock pile, then go for it!! I like to keep a cushion of safe-padding on hand..for a rainy day though. You never know when something will break or a little extra cash can make all the difference.
Coke. Cable and if you have the money to spare. Go for it!
I live in Hawaii so I'd say Ireland. If your gonna go past your four hour mark might as well go all the way to Ireland. :)
I just say P.S I love you with Hillary Swank and wow. Ireland is truly beautiful!
Neither--Diet Mt Dew is the only way to go!
As for the vacation, I agree with Me. If you can do it w/o strapping yourselves financially--go for it. How much fun would the holiday be, if you were worried about the money repercussions the whole time?
Does it have to be Hawaii? Could you do the Bahamas, maybe, and would that be less expensive? And maybe not so long on a plane? Good luck--and regardless of where you go--bring me back something!!!
I say if you can afford it then take the trip. I would go for Hawaii though, but that is just me, because I like warm weather and beaches.
Congrats on all the milestones!
Diet pepsi all the way.I knew I liked you! I have never been to either place.
I say go for it. If you can. A couples years ago the hubby and I did something similar. We're glad we did because now we couldn't.
Kahuna proposed to me in Hawaii. Ireland is gorgeous. So hard to decide...
Kahuna and I have this same delima. We can afford it but what if something catostrophic happens? We have decided to put off our trip for a year to see if the economy evens out. In the mean time our travel account is earning interest. All be it small but it is earning interest.
Pepsi?!!! Blech! Cherry Coke for me, baby!
You should take a vacation. I know it's a hard time economically, but we can't take our money with us when we go, but we CAN take our life experiences.
They mean so much more than having tons of money on savings.
That's my take!
If you're worried about flying, just do something close, and drive, or just go for the weekend to a nice hotel. (cheaper, too)
Happy Anniversary!
I'm coming over from Blog Stalkers Unite, asking for your help. I am in the running for a round trip airfare paid ticket to Connecticut, to meet a friend I became acquainted with through blogging. She is a super fun person and is holding this contest. I entered a funny story titled "Grapejuice Floaties, Now Marry Me." The person whose story receives the most votes will win a trip to meet this generous lady, whom I'm hoping to meet. The voting ends tonight I believe. I am ahead for now but there is a story coming up from behind out of nowhere and I would so, so, appreciate your help. Her blog is www.becausemomsaidso.blogspopt.com and the voting is on the sidebar on the right. "Grapejuice, Floaties" Just go there and cast a vote for me, please. Thanks so much-you're awesome! ♥
Diet Pepsi girl her. I've been to Hawaii, very long flight and full of kiddos when we went. Went to Paris a couple of years ago. Much longer flight but not so bad as we flew at night and could sleep. Going to Ireland in June so...Daughter has trouble flying and I used to but I'm over it now. Hawaii was just stunningly beautiful and I loved Paris, Normandy and London. So I don't know.
your so funny!! we are right there with ya on ther vaca too, we are talking about a cruise in Feb. but we go back and forth too... I am wicha on the diet pepsi tho ;) LA
I say drink some more sweet tea to save money if you want to (Though I am not sure anyone would want to live with me if I gave up Coke Zero) but GO on vacation!! An anniversary is worth celebrating!!
Ireland all the way!!!!
Wow both good choices. I would have to go with Hawaii because then I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of getting a passport. Plus I like warm weather and beaches.
I've been to Hawaii. Choose Ireland.
