Mister brought this beautiful rose home for DD yesterday.

I've been a little off my game this week.
A couple of days ago I tried a new recipe which would have been great if I had put the right kind of peppers in it. As it was, it was so flaming HOT that we could barely eat it.

Then yesterday my errands took longer than I had anticipated so we dined on sandwiches for dinner.
Today I cooked a big pot of soup and even if I do say so myself, it-was-WONDERFUL, perfectly seasoned and well suited for a winter supper.

Awwww! <3 Sweet! Gotta love 'just because' flowers. :) Of course, Gotcha Day flowers are pretty special, too.
We've had a couple of 'lazy day dinners' here this week, mostly because I haven't been feeling the best. Tonight was particularly bad, if I do say so myself. I'm feeling much better...just didn't feel like cooking! LOL!

I love fresh flowers..especially this time of year when all the cold and snow make me dream of warmth and flowers! They are beautiful and your hubby is a very thoughtful dude! I'm making soup today for some friends coming for lunch after church tomorrow. I made chili this past week and accidentally put in tomatoes with hot peppers in it..it was a bit warm! Have a good weekend!

What a treasure you have in your Mister who is so thoughtful! "Just because" is so much better than here they are because "I should."
I guess this is soup, chili and chicken pot pie weather for all of us.
I made a boo-boo with the most recent chicken pot pie because to save time, I used a roasted chicken I bought at the grocery store. Ooops! It was roasted with some garlic and other spices and it messed up the whole chicken pot pie as far as DH was concerned.
And I love the "gotcha day."
Both bouquets are just beautiful. Roses are so gorgeous- my first favorite flower...after lilacs which I consider a bush! xo Diana

Those are gorgeous flowers, and what a wonderful thing to celebrate- Gotcha Day! I made a big pot of soup today even though it's in the 80's here. Still enjoyed it!
Flower power is great! Yellow roses have always been my fave and "just because" warms my heart. So nice.

I totally understand the peppers thing. I blogged about an experience I had while making a mexican casserole.. I didn't wash my hands after cutting up the peppers.. it was not good. How sweet of you hubby to bring you flowers!!
