Private Space.

I love Pigpen
and I'm feeling as though I've bonded
with him in quite a personal way;
he moves in a dirt bubble,
while I move in a germ bubble.
"Kindred Spirits" I think most would call us.

I'll spare you the details of this nasty cold I've claimed as my own, but as I move and have my being my entire household is keeping out of  "my space".

When I get out of my chair,
no one clamors to sit in it.

No one goes near my chair sidetable.

Nope.  My private bag of used tissue.
(It can never be said that I don't keep it real!)

I've found when you cough, sneeze, and carry your own bag of used tissue, people tend to give  you lots of private space.
That Pigpen is one smart guy!

OH, I hope you are better soon.
Make others wait on you and that will improve your health, tell them I said so and I am a DOCTOR!
(Not really, but they don't know that.)
I love PIG PEN too! xx
Remember this line..."On the contrary, I didn't think I looked THAT good". I say this all the time!

If a sense of humor about it can help heal a cold you should be well very soon.

As Lucy would say...get the disinfectant.:):):) I hope you get over that cold soon. I have been very blessed for the last few years...no colds. I wash my hands like I have OCD. When I remember I wipe the door knobs after company too. Germ-a-phobe. I hope your new year is healthy and happy. xo,Susie

Oh- and we have all had that same terrible crap here- No one sits in my "space" either- is that a bonus? xo Diana

Knock wood, we haven't had colds for several years. We live in our own little bubble and have perhaps developed an immunity. Hope you get well soon, if anyone needs to be "up and at'em" it's you, kiddo. Hang tight!

Just got over the cold thing so I truly sympathize...hope you are feeling better soon. Well, it should be over in 7-10days if that's any help. You're doing the right thing..staying warm, comfy as possible, and hopefully tons of fluids and sleep. I'm not a Doctor, don't play one on TV and I'm staying at an Holiday Inn Express...however I work with tons of Docs and they all have colds and haven't a clue how to fix them either. Just sayin!

The flu/viral germs and everything in between is here in NC too. In fact the hospitals are restricting visitations to HEALTHY folks over 18 and only 2 at a time per patient.
I hope and pray you feel better soon.

This last year I've seen the same with my parents but most recently more independence lost when my Mom broke her hip. She and Daddy now have 12 hour a day aide in their home and to quote her "every body in the county has seen her naked" as she now needs help with hygiene.

Many prayers and hugs coming your way.

I told my husband I needed a support group for those of us turned parents to our parents but had no time to attend meetings.

Hope you're feeling better very soon! Seems to be part of the season cycle. It's only because I've gone virtually nowhere that I've stayed healthy!

Oh dear! This is SO not good! I imagine stress (what stress??? lol) is part of the culprit.
Hoping you are able to rest and feel better SOON.
