For Nicer People

"For Nicer People"

This motel has seen better days.
At night the crime rate rises in this area of our town.
Still, I always take notice of the small sign,
below the larger one, when I drive by:
"For Nicer People"

I always wonder,
"what exactly does that mean?".

I'm with you..what does "nicer people" mean?

You should go in, and inquire if you're "nice enough" :)

So I just deleted the novella of a comment I was working on...but I'd have a posse with me if I went in David's to see who, what and why the nice people were!

Very intriguing...you tease you...

It's an establishment for you and for me, right? I's sure we're the clientele they had in mind.

Wow maybe the owner has a very positive attitude and is trying to help others have one....

Are you going to find out who the nicer people are and report back? :)

Re: puppy comment, we went through the squirt bottle phase. It worked for awhile, then she just saw it as a way to get a fun drink. Ha!

Thanks for stopping by.

Made me laugh. I have no idea what that could mean, but I like it anyhow. Seems quaint.

Now THAT'S funny! I just hope that everyone who drives past doesn't think they aren't nice enough. That could be hard on business. ;)

Nicer that what? Maybe they have had some not-so-nice people before.
I wonder how the decide if you are "nicer" when you try to check in.

I think you should stake this place out. Sit in your car (no expired tag!) off the side of the road and video people coming and going. When you find a nice person, honk and give them a thumbs up. If you find some naughty people, send the video to the local news station. (We have a "Video Vigilante" who does just that. And boy, are his videos...um, revealing.)

I read that and thought -- nicer than say ... Ted Bundy? Or Adolf Hitler? How nice do you have to be to be "nicer"

But perhaps I'm too harsh. David could be a family name. They could be fairly recent immigrants from some horrible place and have taken this name as a tribute to the King of Israel who was a man after God's own heart. THEY would certainly be in search of nicer people, right?

And maybe after 11pm they have naked dancing before the ark of the covenant on display in the lobby?

Maybe to let the nice people traveling through town that it's safe to stay there?? LOL

Maybe they ran out of letters and meant to say, "Free, ice, people."???? Maybe not.

Then again, maybe their slogan is a nicer place for nicer people???
