SWEET TEA

It's my Blog so I can say it if I want to. . .

Occasionally I get a thought and on that
rare occasion I feel the need
to share it.  Buckle up,
this may be a rough, random
ride. . .

Caycee Anthony.
Wish the jury could get a "do-over",
but like it or not (and I don't)
our country is gonna have to
"move on"
and accept the fact that a jury
doesn't always get it right.
Very sad.

"The Prize Winner of Definace, Ohio"
My family teases me because I am known to
pick  bad, lame, sucky
less-than-good movies,
but this time I got it right!
If you've not seen this you ought to.
The movie stars Julieanne Moore
and Woody Harrelson and it's
a true story.
Loved it!

Look what I found today as I was
picking up after the Granddolls visit.
Can you say "Doritos"?!
*smile*

"Grazing Diet"
I am going on a Girlfriend's Get-Away trip
mid September.  I want to lose every  pound
I possibly can by then, therefore I began
this diet today.  I am eating a 200 calorie snack
approx every 4 hours.
How long do you think I can keep this up?
"I think I can.  I think I can".
But yes, this totally SUCKS!

What's on your mind today?

Let me know how the diet goes. I've got to do something different. Getting frustrated here.

I'm so with you on the trial.

Oh boy, I think I got that diet wrong...I did it too, but I thought it was 2000 every 4hrs...that explains a lot.

You may want to check out one of Suzanne Sommers dieting books. I wanted to loose weight for my daughter's wedding 3 wks. ago. I lost about 15 lbs. in 3 mos. I've had an almost impossible time loosing weight. Her diet is one of the easiest I've ever done and for the most part I don't get hungry. Plus no counting calories or measuring or buying special products (no I don't get paid a commission). I weighed myself today for the first time since the wedding and have lost 4 more lbs. Yippee!

Casey Anthony: What goes around, comes around.

I like the snacks every four hours idea, diet or no diet. I say, make it cupcakes and I'll jump on board.

Currently I have a string of men lined up like freight cars going in and out of my house, a veritible revolving door of baggy pants and over-sized tee-shirts. Surprisingly, no butt-cracks are being flashed about as plumbers, tile guys, carpet layers and sheet rock men go about their work of updating my house. Darn! Missed opportunities to post some fun on Facebook.

I agree about "the trial". Move on... I remember there being a book "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio", I think. I'll have to check out the movie.

Love girl trips. I'm so jealous. Have a great time. We'll want to hear all about it.

I like the idea of a "grazing diet". I'll be interested to hear how it works. Aren't we funny....I'd be trying to lose a few pounds before a girls trip also.

I totally agree on the Casey Anthony thing. As for the movie, I not only love that movie, I've watched it about ten times - (The Prize Winner of Defiance...) Who would've thought it would be such a great movie!!! I want to lose 30 lb. - but it seems impossible. Good luck with your attempt to lose..

I have not seen that movie so thanks for the recommendation. Let me know how the diet goes. I have a class reunion next June and need to drop some major poundage....I feel like one of those cows in your picture. I am so with you on the trial. What were they thinking?

I am so with you on that trial. I've never been so shocked in my entire life.
Good luck on your diet..what sort of snacks every 4 hours? And do you not eat a meal all day?

If it's ok, I am taking your Anthony comment over to my blog...let me know if you don't want me to.
I'll link it back to your site.

Just catching up.

My take on the trial: I've been a prosecutor and I've been a defense counsel. Based on my experience on both sides --

If a jury acquits, the prosecutors did NOT do their job adequately. In criminal prosecutions, the government (or state) has overwhelmingly disproportionate resources. If a case isn't airtight, it should never get to trial.

And while it seems unfair and like it stinks, if it was me or my loved ones accused of something, I'd want the prosecutors held to the standard that they had to prove every element of the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

No question she was a terrible mother. But if they didn't prove the case, the government lawyers screwed up.

Just my .02 based on my experience.

I read the book about the Defiance, Ohio mom...didn't see the movie. As for the trial, I do not like the verdict beyond that I am not going to comment cuz no one likes what I have to say.
