Lot's of good things from this past week: a great visit with family over the 4th, my daughter got a call offering her a new teaching job, and I am feeling better after a long stretch of difficult family challneges.
Terry & I visited some of the Art gallaries in our home town and were invited to return tonight for their weekly "Art on Arendell" where the artists bring out their esaels and local artists are invited to do the same. That should be fun.
I had a really good visit with family and from it came an epiphany. I have asked God to give me some clue as to how to NOT let things my in-laws do bug me becuz they are who they are and I have to get over it. SO...He gave me the thought that I should really concentrate on the good point(s) of each one and write them a note telling them how much I appreciate them for (whatever). It will give me a good feeling and perhaps they will be a bit less self-centered? At least I'll have a good feeling. LOL
I only had to work one day this week (yayyyy for Holiday weekends) and my husband's schedule changed this quarter and now he's off on Fridays, so he gets to spend the whole day with us!
My week ended with a wonderful day spent with good friends.
You might see me in Goodwill in Tulsa sometime, as I have family there that we visit often. The Hub and I live in the Oklahoma City area, and Guthrie is in my backyard so to speak.
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

My friend and I rented a booth in a local flea market last week and got it set up. I've already sold some stuff!
In spite of the bug infested tree stump, we have an ear! Thanks for asking ;-)
