Been there ... done that. Have no idea how they stopped, but wow, so thankful they did.
HOT, HOT, HOT! that's what they say in the Caribbean. And today, it seems everybody is "hot." Maybe that's how you should think of yourself when you have one of those hot flashes. You are one hot chick! :-D
Thank you! In the middle of an air-conditioned ice-cold auditorium at church yesterday I am fanning myself and holding my hair up off my neck. My hubs and son just chuckled. Errr. :) Why did I keep asking them, "It's hot in here, right?"
I suppose everyone will kill me if I tell you I sailed through meno-pause without a single hot flash....yeah...I know...Y'all really hate me now! xo Diana
Sorry to say that I had them for about 12 years. They started long before things stopped for me. Hope your ears don't get as red as mine did. Ride it out, you'll be fine...eventually. Stick your face in the freezer whenever you get the chance and eat lots of Popsicles.
I dont' know if I 'm having hot flashes at this point or not. I went through menopause in my mid-forties BUT I've been getting extremely hot and SWEATING when I'm at the mall or in church or in a restaurant...in other words, in places where I shouldn't be getting hot and sweaty. YUCK!! I do understand, ST! It ain't prettty! LOL
That made me laugh out loud...literally. CH had been out of town for the past 1 1/2 weeks, and I hadn't had a night sweat at all since he's been gone. Last night...different story. I could feel the heat radiating off of him.
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

I HAD hot flashes. HAD night sweats, sleepless nights, winter and summer. I'm not on fire anymore, but the best part is the sleep. Precious sleep!
Yikes!
No fun at all .
Your header makes me laugh every time I come here!
