I am gonna Blog about a few of mine. . .
My Grandma gave this teapot to me
as a wedding gift.
The years have come and gone
and sadly, this teapot has broken.
I have replaced it twice.
Each time I look on ebay or in antique stores
and replace it with one that looks
exactly the same.
As long as I have this teapot
it seems as though Grandma
is close by.
My hydrangeas are in bloom.
Another Favorite.
This is my favorite "new find" of the summer.
Toenail Falsies.
Love.These.
But them at Walmart, $8.
I dare you to tell them from the real thing.

Okay, those fake toenails look awesome. I have problems with my toes and keeping nice nails. I guess I'm too clumsy and stub my toes too much! Do they affect your real toenails?
I swear, that tea pot with those iconic flowers, yep...I do believe we had one just like it. Or many plates that went with that set...lol!
I love hydrangeas also but because I am a "brown" thumb, I can NOT for the life of me keep those darn things alive. PA.thetic! lol!
Toenail falsies??? hmmmm??!!! I wonder if I could pull these off?! They do look awesome :O)
I agree the fake toenails are awesome. I'm surprised it took this long. I love when hydrangeas have both pink and blue flowers on the same bush. That soil has to be perfect.
How many garage sales have I been to where I've seen that tea pot? wow... I go to a flea market every Saturday so I'll keep my eyes open for one and get it "just in case". Then I'll let you know.
My favorite thing is bath powder..They used to be easy to find with a big fluffy applicator. Not anymore. Now I use baby powder. It feels so good in the summer.
My favorite things:
1) Probably my blue vase that I got as a wedding gift. Why, because it just makes me smile & remember what being a new bride feels like.
2) a Picture of all 3 girls wearing white. When they are all very young. It touches and stirs my heart! I always laugh and say as they become teenagers I will focus on this picture and take deep breaths and love them through that stage in life!
A big bouquet of flowers was just delivered to my front door...there are hydrangeas in the center and I love them! Fresh flowers are definitely one of my favorite things.
I had a corning ware tea pot just like that....several years ago I bought a Braun electric teapot.
Some of my favorite things:
1. retirement...I retired from NCSU on 4/1/11 and I love it. I'm never at a loss for things to do.
2. our ritualy of Friday morning breakfast at Panera before we walk
3. a nice shower every evening...love it!!
Thanks for asking.
Madi's Mom
I'm going to Walmart to find some fake toenails.
Okay, a few of my favorite things: Jelly Bellies. calligraphy Pens, and anything chocolate.
Those toenail falsies are great. I've worn them off and on for several summers now.
My favorite things? My vintage California Ivy pattern dishes from Metlox. Started out with a covered casserole bowl my mother gave me, then searched high and low until I acquired several pieces. I'll show them in my blog one day. My copper colored aluminum coffee canister, fire king coffee cups,oh, and there's lots more. How much time and space do you have?
Yes, Beverly is my mom. :) And I already do follow you. Thanks for coming by!
My mom had the Corning Ware tea pot just like that!
A few of my favorite things...
Anything cobalt blue, a warm day, a glass of ice tea or Coke Zero and a good book to read...or...caramel apples or crab legs.
My favorite things. I'm going to limit myself to three.
1. My bike. I bought it in Germany 20 years ago and I still love it.
2. Finishing writing a chapter and KNOWING that it is finished and ready for someone else to read.
3. Fresh peaches. Mmmmm... Just got some at the Farmer's Market yesterday. heaven...
Falsies for toes!!!!
Now you tell me!
Lost the nail on my big toe last summer...just now growing back.
Could have really used those!

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
I saw those in the store-the toenails..and actually bought them...but I have to wear close toed shoes for work..and hate to waste the darned things...lol Do they stay on pretty good? Could you wear shoes over them?
I had one of those Corning Ware tea pots for years..and also a set of their stove top "pots and pans" with that little blue cornflower on it. I think it is sweet that it was such a special gift from your gramma. Hugs-- Diana
I've used that nail brand on my fingernails--and it tore them up! It's been almost 6 months and they are just now getting back to normal. My hydrangeas are blooming, too!!
I love hydrangeas! We can't get the regular ones to bloom here, but we have a hydrangea tree that blooms like crazy.
I haven't tried the fake toenails, but I love the new shellac nail polish. No chips, dries quick!
One of my favorite things is my Grandma's Puss & Boots cookie jar. It makes me smile every time I look at it.I also love my electric tea kettel. Those toenail falsies are great too. I will be looking for those.
