It's hard to believe that I have done something wrong, especially when all required of me was to simply "copy & paste". Yet, there is Dr. Phil, still encased in purple. The purple was supposed to go "Bye Bye", leaving the background that beautiful Spring green color that is peeking out from behind the purple.
What's a girl to do to fix this??
Does anyone know?

Are you able to go to settings and find a "background color" box and change the colors there maybe?
Wait! i think I know what to do. i see now you have a "cutest blog on the block" background. Did you remember to set your "temlate as "minima' first? If you haven't, try that, then re-add the html code from CBOTB. I bet that will work :)

Looks good to me. I can see the writing so much better than when you had the last background. (My eyes are old!)
I agree w/ Debbie--so much easier to read--even if you keep the purple. And I thought it was just me who was old!

You've got two layouts in the mix. I'm guessing the original purple one came from Pyzam..it probably had you add it by editing your html. The easiest way to get rid of the pyzam layout is to go to your blogger dashboard. Click Layout. Click 'Pick New Layout'. Select a basic pre-made layout (the first one on the list will work great). Save the changes you made. View your blog..that should do the trick. If I remember correctly..cutest blog on the blog (which I'm assuming is the new layout) had you add some jibberish code as a gadget. So, it should have stayed in place.

I guess I'm reading backwards because the purple problem appears to be gone. :)
