SWEET TEA

You can tell me.

Photobucket
This is what I see outside my window.

I'm incognito today
wearing my "Sy-Ky-a-trist" glasses
and wondering,
"How does a rainy day make you feel?"

Thanks for asking. I've been staring out the window today and thinking about rain.

One or two rainy days make me feel relaxed & calm. However, a year of record breaking rain showers makes me feel out of sorts & worried that our house is going to slide down the hill into the steam below.

Where's a good drought when you need one?

I like a soft quiet rain. But I worry about flooding, since we moved here, we have a basement. So yes, I am a scardy cat.Sometimes, I can get the blues, if it rains too many days. I wish you a nice quiet day with good thoughts. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)

I love a rainy day (okay, night) - me and Eddie Rabbit! With a good book, smells of something wonderful cooking, and being able close your eyes and have sweet dreams!!

The sun peeked out of a few minutes this morning and has gone away to leave that grey feeling again. I know we need rain but the noise is getting on my nerves. The weather man says no rain today (but yes rain over the next several days). Better than freezing rain, snow, ice.

I usually LOVE rain! And storms!! I was ready for this one to go, though.

Actually with all the rain we have been having here in GA it makes me feel cozy.

If you live in Louisiana and don't like the rain...you will be a very sad person. Well at least that's true in the coastal part of La. How is it in your part of LA?
And How did you get that moving picture of the rain on your blog? I love that!
And yes...I need rain and a good thunderstorm to help me release pent up emotions.
Too much and I'm sending out calls for Noah!
Hugs~

Rain usully mean a migraine for me but if that doesn't happen I feel it is permission to read a book or watch a movie. It's a cozy, take it easy kind of day.

I would love to see a good rainstorm. It's been a while since we've had one. They always make me feel like curling up with a good book.

Normally a rainy day makes me depressed but alot of the times that is when it's been raining way too much and I'm just sick of it. Plus I hate gray skies! Then there are those days when I feel like snuggling up with a blankie and watching a good movie.

Let's be honest though, I hate rain!! As I've mentioned, I'm a Summer girl and there is absolutely no way you could pay me enough money to move to such places as Washington because how much it rains there. No way! But I will say, this Winter season has not seen our usual rain. I'm actually delighted when it starts to rain because of the lack of it. It's been so dry here and it actually worries me. Why? Because I don't want the rain to start late and ruin my usually wonderful Summer here!! lol That's right, my birthday is at the end of July and I can remember one year it actually rained and let me tell you, it sucked!!! lol

It makes me feel like "nesting". We don't get a lot of rainy days here but we do get a lot of gloomy ones. xo Diana

We've had rain here today too. To be honest, living in the UK, I hardly think about rain now ;o) However, when we lived in South Africa, there was nothing nicer than a heavy thunderstorm on a hot summer afternoon with the rain pounding the ground and the smell of damp earth!

I love rain ... Cozy feelings from sound of thunder, rain pelting the windows and roof. Love to be in the house with my family, good book, pot of soup simmering. Only downers: have to drive in it, get the dog to go potty outside, muddy footprints. Camping could even be fun in the rain sometimes.

I enjoy an occasional rainy day. Makes me feel like getting things done inside the house or, if the housework is pretty well licked, a rainy day is good for curling up with my Kindle. :)

Our roof has a leak and the never ending rainy days of Ohio are making me mad actually. Although it's not Mother Nature's fault our roof leaks!

It makes me want to get all domestic and clean and spruce. I got to do just that. Dad was having a good day and I didn't have to go in there today. I cannot tell you how nice it was to have a day at home. My back is killing me... workout? moving furniture? doesn't matter I loved it all!!

It usually makes me feel all melancholy and snug inside my home or my office. Rain only brings me down if it's been going on for days. I used to love driving on a deserted country road at night in the rain; but now my night vision isn't so good.

O, Tea....my very favorite kind of day is rainy, cloudy, dark clouds...ever since I was a little girl, living in Dallas where it rained often, I have LOVED rainy days. I feel better on those kind of days than any other time. I enjoy them so much, I spend time in my porch swing, just enjoying the sweet darkness of the cloudy sky and the rain. When I am blessed to hear thunder and see lightening, I am just over the moon happy.
I guess I have "rubbed off" on my grands 'cause they all love cloudy, rainy days, too. :))

I always have an overwhelming desire to bake. I really like a couple of days - probably because rain is scarce in Southern California. But after awhile I want some sun already. But rainy days are REALLY good if there's thunder and lightning - for some reason I really like that.

rain is the sound of comfort. it makes me think of camping trips, hearing rain splatter on the metal camper roof while snuggled up with 5 siblings and parents. it makes me think of cleansing and refreshment.

however, living in the pnw where it also means the sun isn't shining, it means i choose to notice the blooming flowers and not the absense of the sun.

The opposite of what the sun makes me feel - haha - we had sun today! sandie

Great question. Living in the land of sunshine, we get excited when we get a little rain :) We're in the high desert, so we do get a little snow sometimes, but sunny days are the norm. My hubby was walking around in shorts today.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Marcia

I love a random rainy day here and there. It gives me an excuse to stay in and read. But this day after day stuff we're experiencing really depresses me after a while and makes me sort of useless all the way around.
