Oh I should probably come back after 2 pm....when I hope to be able to annouce my good news...which is that my 1:30 well kitty vet visit IS over and went well and that I'm hopefully not on a diet and that I'm home again in my home....oh shoot I spilled my news already...but I'll be back. Hugs Madi
I've been painting more and reading less. Went to Michael's this morning for another canvas and then found some great candles at TJ Maxx. I'm in the zone.
I went to the dermatologist yesterday and was checked out for some spots that concerned me. Since skin cancer is in my family, the doc checked from head to toe and I'm in the clear!!! God is good!!!
Hi it is I, Madi, back with my good news. I had a good vet visit today. My especially good news is there isn't as much of me as there was last year and my vet was happy. Like I say happy vet happy pet!! AND FYI it was hot as H E double hockey sticks outside...thank goodness I don't live outside. Mom put ice cubes in the bird bath too. Hugs Madi
Just to share with you folks, i have a new post today on Amish Stories from the Terre Hill days even that was just held in Lancaster Pennsylvania. It was a very hot day but i was able to get i think a few good images from this event. The town is populated with a mix of Amish and old order Mennonites which only adds to its charm. They even have what has become famous in Terre Hill their "outhouse race". The town sits on a hill so it overlooks Lancaster farmland in almost all directions. This is one of my favorite towns to visit because its free from commercialism, so if you are looking for a really all American kind of town with the added bonus of seeing its Amish and Mennonite residents at work and play, then this town is for you. Thanks folks. Richard from Amish Stories.
I am happy to be home recovering from surgery! I had an accident and cut my achilles tendon and needed surgery this week. I am SO thankful that it was not worse and that I am healing!! :)
My good news is it's Friday!!! Two whole days that I don't have to get out of bed before the sun is up and I can even stay in my PJs all day long if I want!
We're not the typical family.
I've recently become Caregiver/Guardian to my Mom as she deals with Dementia. I'm married, have three grown children and also an 18 yr. old daughter who lives at home and recently made us grandparents to her beautiful new baby girl. That means that we have four generations of women under the same roof. Mister and I have been married forever. . .It's not the life we dreamed about, nor the one we would have chosen, but most days we find a way to laugh and bumble our way through. We're enjoying the journey, even with the unexpected side trips along the way. FOLLOW ME, if you dare! LOL!

Loved having our son here for a visit. Thankful Princess had a wonderful, safe time at Camp. We also had a bit of rain here last week. It's all GOOD!!

Someone made a really ignorant, stupid comment about homeschoolers to me this week and I didn't slap them.
Does that qualify as "Good News"?
LOL
Have a wonderful weekend. Love your blog!

I'm in the gorgeous Ohio Amish Country relaxing. :)
Continued financial provision with my husbands nearly two years of unemployment.

I loved my family reunion - the fact that we had a safe trip there and back - and stopped to see my son and grandson in Ohio. Thanks.
School starts in a week!!
