I saw this happen!

not exactly.

But we did spring crawl out of bed
at 3:30 am
for our "Royal Viewing Party".
There were TWO of us in attendance.

Let the party begin . . .

Our resident Princess was in attendance
wearing her crown, and snubbing the camera.
(Royalty folks have such an attitude.)

Being the Queen, I had to don my sunglasses
to shield myself from the Paparazzi
and the reflection from my crown.
(tis the price one pays for being "royal")

Princess footwear.

Queenly footwear.

the Queen and the Princess
need some sun on their
royal legs.

A toast of the bubbly (grape juice)
to the newly wedded couple.
Then, albeit too quickly,
the party was over.
The Princess returned to her
Royal boudoir.
(Darn! I missed taking that photo.)
and the Queen
ruled, reigned, and remained
on her throne.

The End.

How I spent my Easter vacation.

Hubs and me

and Princess

loaded into the car for the l-o-n-g
drive to
Atlanta, GA.

to see "baby boy"

and "Luther",
our 160 lb Grand dog.

I must say it was worth the drive.
We had a wonderful visit.

We got to see son's new apt
which is in this building -
I loved it!

Son showed us around Atlanta,
as there are always interesting
things to see there.

as well as some really
strange places too.

We ate some really good food!

And then some more good food.

Then we washed it all down
with wonderful, southern,

Princess enjoyed lounging
with her nephew.

It was a wonderful Easter weekend.
I truly miss all the Easter's past
where the entire family went to church
then gathered for a big dinner
and an Easter Egg hunt for the kids.
But, time moves on.
Kids grow up and move away.
You do what you can,
when you can.

"Thank you Jesus for a wonderful
Ressurection Sunday"!Tho  non traditional,
it was nevertheless

You know you're old when . . .

Yesterday Hubs and I drove through McDonald's,
per Princess request, that we bring her
home a burger.
Imagine our surprise when we were
greeted at the drive-through with
"Welcome to McDonald's
would you like to try our
Fruit & Maple Oatmeal?"

At 6:30 in the evening?
Are you kidding me?

You know you're old
when they offer you oatmeal at the drive-through
at dinner time.

(turned out to be a pre-recorded
message meant for 6:30 AM)

What say ye?

Aretha says "Yes" to the hat.

This adorable baby says "Yes" to the hat.

Santa says "Yes" to the hat.

The Queen Mother says "Yes"
(most definitely) to the hat.

The first people you (probably) saw
in your life said "Yes" to the hat.

Like Nancy Reagan, I just said "No".

Are you a "Hat" person?

Once upon a time. . .

Once upon a time there was a lonely little

Then one day the little table met up with a couple
of coats of paint.

Then the little table was lonely no more.

The End.

Soooo embarrassing!

One of the young pregnant Mom's
at our church posted some very
beautiful photos of her bare
baby bump on Facebook.

I made a comment on her
FB page -
"Awwww.  So Sweet!"

Imagine my horror when I later saw
that someone had  rudely posted
the following on this young woman's FB page:
"Asses.  So sweet!"

And that someone was
The auto-correct had changed
the letters around.
I apologized and did the best I could
to correct the error.

Did I mention I'm the leader of
Women's Ministry
at the church we both attend?

Blog Scootin' Boogie

It's been a lazy Sunday afternoon here.
I took advantage of the time and went
to visit Blogs that were new to me;
my version of "Blog Scootin' Boogie".

Follow  Share   Report   Abuse   Next Blog
I did this by clicking on "Next Blog"
at the top of my Blog page.

I went to several different countries.
(It seems everyone likes to Blog.)

Saw lots of cute kids -

and adorable families,

a few strange things,

and even a few scary things!

But along the way I met some
wonderful people and made
a few new Bloggy Friends!

I'm a Slut.

Yes, it's true.
I'm a TV Slut.
I watch programs that most sane
lots of people would never watch,
or at least admit they watch.
I am basically into "trash tv".

I'm also an Insomniac,
so while the rest of you sleep
I'm indulging myself
with tivoo'd programing.

I love to dis on TV, the good & the bad
of programs.  All of the following
is merely my opinion, very little is
based in fact.  Here goes!

"Sister Wives"
Robin is pregnant!
That Kory is certainly the
"get-around" guy.
I think there should be a
program called "Brother Husbands"
to even the score.

While we're talking "pregnant",
has anyone else noticed that
Rachel Ray has worn a blazer
every day for several weeks now.
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Either she's gained a few pounds
or she's got an "oopsie" on the way.
She said she would never have a
child.  Hmmmm.  Stay tuned.

"American Idol"
I personally don't care that
Pia had to pack her bags.
And, I don't really care for
"cutie boy Paul" or "strange guy Casey".
I think Jacob is Broadway bound,
and Lauren is gonna win.
But for me, the entire program
is about Steven Tyler.  It's interesting
to see an old guy who oozes sexuality.
But I miss the sharp-tongued Simon.
Can I get an "Amen"?

"Kate plus Eight"
Don't know why I keep watching.
What I'd really enjoy is a program
about her ex,  the weak-kneed,
wanna-be-a-playboy Jon.

"The View"
How many times is Whoopi gonna
brag about sleeping with over 100 men?
You're gonna brag about something like that?

"Extreme Couponing"This is a magic show.
It can't possibly be that one can
go into the grocery store, come out
with 6 buggies full of groceries,
and pay only $8.27.
Who does this? When I grow up
I wanna be like them
perhaps I need one of them
to be my Sister Wife!
