Why?I would have a tatoo of my sweet Dog, Kramer' face,
'cause he makes me smile!

     You've got to be kidding,
     with my Greek nose?

Going to see my family in "O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A,
    Oklahoma. O.K."

a Friend

Weiner, Scrambled Eggs, Graham Crackers,
Potted Meat, Peanut Butter, Chicken Broth,
even Dog Food . . . What's a mother to do
when her sweet, sweet, "baby" of 15 years
refuses to eat.  He has not eaten a bite
since last Friday morning. (it's now Mon.

OK, I know his eye's make him look like he's
from the movie, "Village of the Damned".
(bad photographer - me)  And there are
those in my family who say that is a proper
description, but they would be wrong.

My poor little poochie had a stroke
on Friday and is very ill.
I'm hoping he's got
some more time
left to be my

Right now I'm loving my Vet and his sweet staff
who care, love, and tend to him
each time I take him in.

"Come on, Kramer, you can do it.
Eat for Mama."

Mama's, don't let your babies grow up to be . . .

Picked Princess up from school then hurried to make it on time to the Garage for an appointment to have my car serviced.  Whew! Made it.  Checked the car in then Princess and I, arms full of school books, purses, jackets and Sonic Drinks, made our way to the bank of 4 computers provided for customers to use as they wait for their cars...I promptly sat my things down and . . .

spilled my Sonic drink on the floor.  GRRR!!
I ran for paper towels and also informed an employee of the spill.  Came back with handfull of paper towels and cleaned & wiped up the mess the best I could.  Employee came with a mop while I ran to wash my hands.

I returned to obviously "my computer"
which  had my things piled all around it,
only to find a 20ish guy wearing a
Dairy Queen shirt in "my chair".
I stood by my chair a moment, expecting him to say, "Oh, were you using this computer?"  Nope.  He totally ignored me and said NOT a word.  I stood there a moment and fumed.  Still, not willing to admit defeat,  I reached beside him with an exagerated motion to pick up my things.  Still no response from DQ Dude.
Then I said, "I was sitting here".
Still he said nothing.  Pause.
"This was my chair, did you not
see my things"?
He looked at me briefly and said,
"I didn't see a thing",
and kept right on computing...a nice man  at one of the other computers stood and gave me his computer.  (blush)  He was soooo polite and insisted  he was through with the computer and that I take it.
I think I saw fear on his face.

 I scared the poor man.
I'm sure of it.
He was older than DQ Dude
and probably recognized
a Menopausal Woman
about to BLOW!!  Ya think?

This is strictly off the record. . .

I grabbed these remarks off of FaceBook
(Is that allowed?)

Person #1So relieved that ALL of the painting is done thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law!! But, she just left so life goes back to crazy! My BP was great the whole time she was here LOL. She's such a blessing.

Person #2
Isn't it wonderful to have a MIL you loves and who loves you back? Who enjoys spending time with you and helping and you enjoy doing the same for/with her? *sighing contentedly Yeah... I have one of those MIL's too!

Person #3

which these questions
allow me to do.
If you'd like to play along then go

Blueberry Pie Tree.
'Nuff said.

5. What is your least favorite insect?

If you lived here (Louisiana)
you wouldn't even ask.

6. March 22 was World Water Day. To celebrate, here are some water questions. Do you drink bottled water? If so, what brand?

I don't like the taste of any water
so I don't drink it without something
added to it.
Bottled Lipton Diet Green Tea
is what I drink most of the time.

7. Have you ever been somewhere that it was not safe to drink the local water? If so, how did you handle that?

9. March 24 is the birthday of Harry Houdini. Have you ever watched a professional magic show? Share.
    Many times.

10. Have you ever been a participant in a professional magic show (up on stage!)?
      Yes, though I'm not terribly proud of it;
actually it was quite embarassing. .  .

I was selected from the audience to come to the stage.
   Then I was given a carrot to put in my mouth;
then my brain function failed and I let a complete
stranger put on a blindfold and take a sharp axe
and cut the carrot in half.  Yes, I know. . .

11. March 24 is also the birthday of Steve McQueen and Clyde Barrow. Do you like Westerns or gangster movies? If so, what is your favorite?
      Neither.      I'm a Chick-Flick kind of Girl.

12. (Really random) What U.S. state that you've never visited would you like to visit someday?
I've actually been to all the U.S. states I'm
particularly interested in, but I'd like to go
back to CA and spend more time there.

I love it when you visit.
Thanks for stopping by!

Choo! Choo!

Choo!  Choo! Chug-a-Chuga!

It is time to plan the Summer vacation
for our family.  I usually have it done
by now, but I really don't know where
to start.  We want to take the train,
beginning in TX and end up in
Chicago.  I've never traveled by
train before. ???
If you have I'd love any suggestions,
ideas, or info you could give me
on the subject.  I admit I am very
needy and I promise to thank you
profusely if you can give me direction.

What are your Summer plans?
I always love to hear what you're
doing.  I am nosey that way.
I have an inquiring mind.

Random Dozen

Happy St. Paddy's Day!
If you want to join in the fun
of Random Dozen
you can click  HERE
to link up.

1. On a scale of 1-10, how superstitious are you, honestly?
Black Cats, Friday the 13th, Open Umbrellas. . .
Bring 'em on!

2. Julius Caesar is quoted as saying, "I came, I saw, I conquered." Which circumstance or experience of yours does this saying best describe?

FINANCES.I'm pretty darn good with
a Budget.
I get that from my Mom.

3. If I peeked in on your day like a mischievous little leprechaun, at what time would I most likely find you blogging?
    Early afternoon.

4. Re springing forward for Daylight Saving Time, is there anything you've ever been really early or really late for?

Depending on how you look at it -
we once went to a friend's house
bearing a Birthday gift in July,
only to find out we had confused
the date and his birthday was in Feb...
Really surprised him!

5. What are you most looking forward to concerning Spring?

Flip Flops.
I'm a simple girl.

6. Shamrocks are the national flower of Ireland and are picked on St. Patrick's Day and worn on the lapel or shoulder. Do you wear green on St. Patty's Day?

Do you like my St. Paddy's outfit?

and my footwear. . .

Even though I'm Greek
I'll be flaunting my GREEN on St. Paddy's Day.
GREEN is my favorite color!

I thought of everything.

7. One of Caesar's assassins, Casca, said, "But, for my own part, it was Greek to me," which of course means he didn't understand something. Probably his own lines in the play. Anyway, what is something that is "Greek to you," something incomprehensible or indecipherable?
I don't understand "ambiguous".
I never use it correctly in a sentence,
so I've deleted it from my vocabulary.

8. Is March behaving more like a lion or a lamb where you live?

a Playful Lion...warm days, stormy evenings

9. "An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later." -Winston Churchill. If you had one extra hour per day every day, what would you do with it?

(that's a lie. honestly.)

10. Legend says that every Leprechaun has a pot of gold hidden deep in the Irish countryside. Aside from real gold or money, what material item would be in your dream pot of gold?
The DVD's of when my children were young.
*sniff *sniff

11. "The best things are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of God just before you." Robert Louis Stevenson. Look around you right now and tell us about something essential or beautiful very near you that you take for granted every day.
A serious answer - "the ability to swallow".
Beyond losing some extra poundage, think about how your life would change if you could not eat.
At.All.Ever.  ??????

12. Just for a bit o' fun, click here (www.blogthings.com/irishnamegenerator/) and then report your Irish name.
      Mine is  Juverna Duffy. (blech!)

This has been great fun participating
in the Spring Fling
Spring Gift Exchange.

Here are my goodies -

sent to me from April.  Her blog is

This is a beautiful piece of wall art
by Jennifer Blakeley.
All of her photographs are objects
found in their natural surrounding
that are un-staged.

We'll use this when we take our Summer
vacation to Chicago via a train.
This will be the perfect way
to document our trip!!

Polka Dot Notecards
I LOVE all things polka dot
and she managed to find these
great note cards for me!!

She had absolutely no way of knowing
that Reese's PB Cups are my
I have hidden them and no one
in the house knows I have them.
After everyone goes to bed I
to my secret stash
and enjoy MY candy.

Busted in the Bayou

After being accident-free for years,
my husband has managed to dent
the front bumper of his truck
(small Fender-Bender)

bust out my tail light and put
paint scratches on the back fender
of my vehicle.
(As we were leaving our friends
house last night he backed
into their mailbox!!)

  *sniff *sniff
Don't know why car incidents seem
to happen in doubles with us.
? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Yes.  I must admit to doing something
similar several years ago (but that's
another story and I'm sure you wouldn't
find it interesting.)  On the rare
occasion that it is discussed we refer
to it as my "crime spree".

The moral to this story?
If you see us coming -
